ALL YOUNG PEOPLE WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES ENGAGING IN REGULAR SPORTS
At The Chariot Project we are driving change in the sporting world where all young people with physical disabilities can be involved in high quality, sustainable, and meaningful sports of their choice every week, of every month, of every year. We reduce barriers to engagement to ensure sport becomes an integral and lifelong part of the young peoples' lives, and they are able to gain the profound physical, social and emotional benefits that sports provide.
PROVIDE SUSTAINABLE SPORTS ENGAGEMENT TO YOUTH WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES
Through this we:
- Deliver quality sporting programmes in Auckland on a regular basis creating a pathway of involvement where young people can function at their peak regardless of their impairment.
- Advocate for young people and their families, challenging the tokenism and recognising them as young athletes.
- Engage with like minded organisations throughout New Zealand who believe in providing a sport framework that is built around disability, not a mainstream framework that fits disability at the fringes.
Are you a young person with a physical disability living in Auckland who wants to play sports?
